What do Lands End,  Kitchen Etc,  Eddie Bauer, Barnes & Noble, Pets.com, and Hickory Farms have in common?
They are all among more than 600 companies that will donate a percentage of your on-line purchases to the Church of the Resurrection (or hundreds of other nonprofit groups) if you access them through the iGive.com web site. (iGive is not altruistic - they also get a percentage)
We don't want anyone to spend more for an item just to support the church,  but if the price is right,  please consider making a few extra keystrokes to help the church.  Click here to check out iGive.   Thank you.

We welcome guests and newcomers to Resurrection. We hope you will join us, not only for this worship service, but also for the fellowship of coffee hour afterwards. Thank you to the Pagan and Evans families for hosting coffee hour this morning.

Our altar flowers this morning are given to the glory of God and in loving memory of deceased members of the Beattie family.

Today we celebrate Veterans’ Sunday by honoring all who have served or are serving in the military. We are collecting much needed items for our active troops overseas (there is a box in the narthex for your donations). Especially requested are notes of encouragement and appreciation.

Last minute Craft Fair info –;  crafts, baskets, and absolutely new items can be left in the undercroft during the day or before 7 P.M. this week. Be aware there are meetings going on in the evenings. Food items can be brought in Friday. Preliminary table set-up will begin Thursday. There is still time to volunteer to help in a variety of ways before, during, and after this event – please sign-up downstairs. And don't forget to invite your family and friends to come join the fun on Saturday.

We are coming to the end of our Nooma video Bible studies. For our next course of study, Fr. Mic would like to start a discussion of the book, The Shack, by William Young. The discussion will be at the same time – Wednesdays at 8 P.M. – the start date will be announced soon.

There are 2 financial seminars being held at Resurrection during the month of November. The first on Nov. 16 from 7 to 9 P.M. is titled, “Save Energy, Save Money”; the second, “Making Ends Meet” (teaching you how to develop and use a household spending plan) will be held on Nov. 30. Both are being given by the Cornell Cooperative Extension and are open to the public. Please see Patti Anderson for more details.

The deadline for articles for our next newsletter is next Sun., Nov. 15. We plan to have the newsletter in the mail by Nov. 20. Please send articles, photos, announcements on upcoming events, etc. to our editor, Deke Rothacker, at dekedeb@frontiernet.net.

Check out the 2 posters on the bulletin board downstairs that will help with some of the on-going discussions about Fr. Mic’s sermon of 3 weeks ago on stewardship and your spirituality.

Advance notice: a New Year’s Eve bash is being planned at Resurrection for Thurs., Dec. 31 from 8:30 P.M. to 1 A.M. – so mark your calendars!  Details to follow. Would you be willing to help? Please see Kathy Pagan.

There is interest in starting a women’s prayer group on Monday evenings – perhaps 2 times a month. If you are interested or would like more information, please speak to  Patti Anderson during coffee hour.
