THE CHURCH OF THE RESURRECTION IS DEEPLY COMMITTED TO MISSIONS
This begins with our budget. A tithe (10%) of our pledged income is given away. We look especially for programs which serve the poor in Jesus' name and which aim to spread the gospel. In 2006, this giving totaled $10,000. Recipients included Uganda Christian University. Scholarship Fund (through Uganda Partners), Regent College, Food for the Poor, D.C. Community Action Agency, Dutchess Outreach, Hudson River Housing, A Rocha, Rural and Migrant Ministries, and our local food ministry.
The Missions Committee submits funding recommendations for vestry approval.
