Resurrection started its fifth Alpha course on Jan. 21. There are 40 participants, many of them from other churches in the Hudson Valley. Even though it's too late to start the course now, please keep in mind that we will run the course again in the fall. If there are people in your circle of family, friends, and co-workers that you think might be interested, let them know. Even if you haven't taken the course, you could still recommend it to others. Here'e what others are saying about the Alpha course: I have found Alpha to a wonderful refresher course. Alpha is a program for the churched as well as the unchurched. Alpha answers questions that everone wants to know, but is afraid to ask. Many people live lives in great need of spiritual guidance and divine comfort. They have questions about making sense of their lives and their suffering. They wonder if they are truly loved by God. They worry that they have so failed at their lives that they lie beyond the reach of God's grace. For many such individuals, a simple invitation, a kind ear, a clear exposition of faith, make a universe of difference, and hold eternal repercussions. And this, of course is where Alpha comes in.
