Worship Times

Father Victor
When in doubt, ring the church at 226-5727. Our answering machine tape is kept up-to-date with services and times. (or check the calendar at the church Web Page)

Morning Prayer is currently being said on all weekdays: at 8 A.M. Monday through Thursday, and at 7 A.M. on Fridays.

Sunday Eucharists are at 8 A.M. and 9:30 A.M. This schedule will be kept up through the summer, although on occasion the 8 o'clock service may be canceled. During the summer, we have a special church school program for younger ones (5th grade and below). The summer Sunday school class begins in the undercroft at 9:30, and the students come upstairs at the Peace. Father Victor does not preach his sermon at the end, but, instead, it comes immediately after the Gospel. The entire service lasts just under an hour during the summer.

Three of the Seven Principal Feasts of our Church fall in June. Thursday, June 1, is Ascension Day: a special Eucharist with music is celebrated at 7 P.M., followed by ice cream at a local store. Sunday, June 11, is the Day of Pentecost, on which we will have a picnic following the 9:30 service. Sunday, June 18, is Trinity Sunday, on which we sing all seven stanzas of St. Patrick's Breastplate: a heroic effort not to be missed!

Other Feast Days coming up: The Nativity of St. John Baptist falls on Saturday this year, and we'll have a Eucharist at 9:30 that Saturday morning (June 24: and then, only six months until Christmas!). On Sunday, July 2, the Declaration of Independence will be read as part of our 9:30 service. July 4, Independence Day, will begin with Matins at 8 A.M. and the singing of patriotic hymns.
