We welcome guests and newcomers to Resurrection. We hope you will join us, not only for this worship service, but also for the fellowship of coffee hour afterwards. Thank you to the Locke family and Sue Blodgett for hosting coffee hour this morning.
Thank you to Marie Metzger and her family for their hospitality at last week’s Harvest Festival at the Knapp Farm. The weather was glorious, the food – scrumptious and plentiful, the pumpkins – gigantic, and best of all – the fellowship was great!
Veterans’ Sunday will be celebrated next Sunday, Nov. 8 – we will honor all who have served or are serving in the military. We will be collecting much needed items for our active troops overseas. Check the list on the bulletin board. Especially requested are notes of encouragement and appreciation.
Our Holiday Craft Fair and Café this year is on Sat., Nov. 14 from 9 A.M. to 3 P.M. This is a time of wonderful fellowship for the parish. We would love to have everyone involved so if you would like to participate in any way, you may sign-up on the bulletin board downstairs. There is a sign-up for waitressing; one to contribute to the craft fair tables; and also to help set-up or clean-up.
Please also see the bulletin board for a sign-up sheet for food donations for our café. Marisol Cintron will be here on Fri., Nov. 13 – you may bring your donations to her that day.
Pamela Henry and Judy Dixon have volunteered to coordinate the Theme Basket Table for the Craft Fair. Speak to them if you can create a basket – a limited supply of baskets are available for filling.
Please start to turn in your completed Craft Fair Raffle tickets and money. Anne Kasin has additional books if you can sell more and would also appreciate the return of any books you are unable to sell as they can be sold on the day of the fair.
Advance notice: a New Year’s Eve bash is being planned at Resurrection for Thurs., Dec. 31 from 8:30 P.M. to 1 A.M. – so mark your calendars! Details to follow. Would you be willing to help? Please see Kathy Pagan.
The deadline for articles for our next newsletter is Sun., Nov. 15. We plan to have the newsletter in the mail by Nov. 20. Please send articles, photos, announcements on upcoming events to our editor, Deke Rothacker, at dekedeb@frontiernet.net.
