We welcome guests and newcomers to Resurrection. We hope you will join us, not only for this worship service, but also for the fellowship of coffee hour downstairs afterwards. Thank you to Bert and Rena Mazutto for hosting coffee hour this morning.
Be thoughtful, be silent, be reverent; for this is the House of God. Before the service speak to the Lord; during the service let the Lord speak to you; after the service speak to one another.
About receiving Holy Communion: Those who have been baptized with water in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and are in a state of love and charity with their neighbors, are welcome to receive Holy Communion here at the Church of the Resurrection.
Lisa Hadad will be accepting donations for Christmas flowers today. If your donation is for a memorial, please use the form on the back table and print the names clearly. The names have to be in to Patti by this Wed., Dec. 12 in order to have time to print them in the Christmas bulletin.
Women's Prayer Group December meeting will change from the 10th to the 17th at 7:00 p.m. at Mary Crisman's house. All women are welcome! Please call Mary at 226-8079 if you need directions. This will be the only December meeting.
You will find goodies downstairs after the 9:30 service this morning. Join us for our "Christmas Cookie Walk" - walk around the table and fill your bag with delicious treats for only $5! The monies will be used to offset the cost of an upcoming children's project (TBA).
Next Sun., Dec. 16, we will be decorating the Christmas tree downstairs and the following Sun., Dec. 23, we will be going Christmas caroling at our shut-ins' houses - both activities following the 9:30 service. Please join us for these festive activities and enjoy the fellowship of the season.
Paula Shriver, Tracey Segnit, and Karen Locke are planning a Christmas pageant to take place during the 5:30 P.M. Christmas Eve Family Service. If anyone is interested in participating, please speak to them during coffee hour. Practices are being held on Wednesdays from 5:30 to 6:30 P.M.
Tonight is the last Youth Group meeting (4:30 in the undercroft) before the St. Nicholas Brunch this Sat., Dec. 15 at 10 A.M. Please make every effort to attend and help with this exciting project.
There are many announcements in the bulletin - we don't have enough time on Sunday morning to read them all. Please take the time to read them for yourself - take the bulletin home with you if it helps. Use the prayer list during the week and add the calendar dates to your own calendar. This way you will be informed about the upcoming events. There are usually 2 weeks worth of bulletins on the back table in case you miss a Sunday and the information can also be found on our website.
A thought on Evangelism - "The only way most of us ever get to meet Christ is through the very human hands of someone with good news to share."
