The vestry of the Church of the Resurrection approved the creation of a separate fund, "The Endowment Trust Fund", in January, 1996 after receiving a gift from the estate of a long time parishioner. By-laws for the management of the fund were created, and the first meeting of the committee was held in February of 1997. The committee is responsible for making recommendations to the vestry as to where and how fund moneys should be invested, and will eventually (when the fund consistently exceeds $100,000) propose to the vestry how much shall be distributed annually. In addition, the committee is involved in educating the parish about responsible financial planning. The vestry retains final say over investments and expenditures, but cannot act apart from recommendations of the committee. The committee, per by-laws, consists of 5 members, each elected for a fixed length term. Currently, the committee consists of: Sue Blodgett Mary Crisman Jeff Hoerter Paul Curran Richard Hadad If you are interested in things financial, and would like to be considered for the committee, please speak to the Senior warden or any of the members listed above. |
