In the fall of 2003, formed specifically to deepen our youth's faith in Christ through service, fun, and education, our new Youth Group was started. Jr. and Sr. High teenagers now meet together, twice a month with leaders Debbie Evans and Brenda Curran, alternating planning and participating in activities to meet this goal.
Our church draws from two different school districts so, for some of the teens, interaction only occurred on Sunday mornings at worship/Sunday School time. Youth Group now gives them an opportunity to establish bonds through the commonality of their faith, to share in appropriate fun through social events, and to learn the value and satisfaction of service to others.
